Florence C. Macauley (MBA, ECHM, CAPS, PTA, CDP, CEAS, CCI) is a Certified Aging In Place Specialist and the founder and owner of AgeWise Home. A resident of Washington, DC, she has always been driven by learning and understanding the ever-changing needs of aging families and the demands on caregivers. Her experience working in a hospital, assisted-living facilities, nursing homes, and personal care homes has given her a first-hand look and a unique perspective. She is looking to fill a much-needed gap in senior care services, aging in place accessibility in the home and community while improving the quality of life for the elderly, people with disabilities, and Veterans. 

 

Florence holds an Executive Home Modification Certificate from the University of Southern California, an MBA in Healthcare Administration, and an AAS in Physical Therapy with over 16 years of experience in Geriatric Therapy. She holds multiple certifications such as a Dementia Practitioner and an Ergonomics Assessment Specialist. Her other interests include interior design, construction, and remodeling. Combining her knowledge with her passion she hopes to combat premature institutionalization and allow families to safely remain at home.
